2024 in Review

It was a busier year than I realized. Here's a quick overview of my activities for 2024! First, my two novel releases this year:

• FireBorn's Legacy
• An Exile Amid Stars

I'm also halfway through my gamelit novel, currently being serialized on Patreon/Locals. If you'd prefer to buy it when it's done, it'll be ready for sale early next year. Not long now!

Next, my short story publications:

• Space Marines, "Veterans" (new story)
• Space Marines 2, "Game On" (new story)
• Moggies Back in Space, "Constellations" (reprint)
• Goblin Market, "Sister Prissa's Philters" (new story)
• Alien Family Values, "Brass Candy Girl" (reprint)
• All Will Burn 3, "Tapa's Adventure" (new story)
• Wyrd West 3, "Black Hat" (new story)

Yes, I still get royalties from those anthology sales, so thank you for catching up on older ones! I sold one more short story, but the anthology for that one, Shapers of Worlds 5, won't be out until next year, if you missed the Kickstarter for it.

While we're on the topic of Kickstarter, I ran five campaigns this year, four for various stickers, and one for FireBorn's Legacy. And of course, this year I set up my entire direct sale shop, which took four months...! I also got to one convention and hope to do two next year.

Speaking of cons, I am apparently going to be at Holiday Matsuri in Orlando this coming Saturday! If you'd like to say hi or get a book signed, email or send me a message on X and we'll meet to shake hands.

So yes, busy! And yet, I hope to get more done next year. We shall see, as always, and I hope many of you are here to see it with me.😊

Completionist Badge!

This year I've designed a "completionist" badge for the Peltedverse, for people who've read the entire published canon up until this point (December 2024). I have a limited number of these stickers and will send one free to anyone who has reviewed both of 2024's releases on my shop site (so FireBorn's Legacy and An Exile Amid Stars). You do have to request them, though, through this form... and once I run out, they're gone; I won't be printing new ones.

If you prefer your badge in shirt form, I made one with the design on front and the entire list of the Peltedverse canon on the back! Several people have already bought one and report it is comfy. Alas, I can't send free shirts. But the stickers are awfully sweet. Ask for one if you qualify and you want one. Yes, it's the honor system. What else? I trust you!

Peradventure Playtest!

I've also begun the playtest of my Peradventure gaming system on Discord, with a five-week campaign set in the world of the Jokka, Ke Bakil! Right now the game is limited to people willing to be on Discord, since we're definitely in the 'this works or doesn't work' phase. 

If you expressed interest in the playtest, please come by! If you didn't know about it and want to participate, by all means, stop by on Discord and check the #peradventure channel group!

Catch-Up

Some final stuff for December:

• I'm collecting reader suggestions for my next collection of shorts, this one about Reese and any minor characters you might want to hear more about. Fill that out here if you have opinions.
• I'm taking part in a free book promo, this one for "Tales of Amazing Friendships and Found Family." Go see if anything looks appealing!

• Finally, as you can see from the Completionist section, I'm designing shirts for my store! So if you're hunting for a way to spend holiday money and need a comfy shirt... so far I have Pelted and Ai-Naidari designs, and am working on others.👕
