Welcome to March! Here's all the jaguar news that's fit to share! We've got some art, audio news, our monthly reminders, and, of course, the obligatory cat photo!

It's always good to start with the pretty, so here's "Dragon Beloved," one of my favorite gouache pieces! I had a lot of fun painting those clothing patterns.

Unusually for me, this is not a specific character or setting. I don't usually do horned people, so it was a bit of an experiment there: the deer ears, though, I'll slap on any random character if given the chance. What's not to love about deer ears?

Audiobook News (and Coupon)

Some of you might have heard about Brandon Sanderson attempting to force Audible to give more favorable terms to indie authors; if you haven't, the short of that matter is that Audible's contracts for independent authors are so terrible I've been in the slow motion process of pulling my work from their system for years. Sanderson meant well, but he did not extract any meaningful concessions, so I'm going to continue to move my work off Audible as it comes off contract. I thought I'd found a good distributor with Findaway, but Spotify's recent acquisition of that company has led to a change in their contract that is also awful for authors (and narrators). So I'm also pulling my audio off their platform.

What does this mean for my audio fans? For the foreseeable future, my audiobooks will be available directly from me, via Bandcamp. In addition to having a great app, Bandcamp allows you to download lossless files so you can own your copy of my audiobook. No more worries about whether Audible will pull it out of your library one day: it'll be yours to listen to forever. Bandcamp also allows me to sell my entire catalog at a discount... so if you want to buy every audiobook I have listed, at once, for a single price, you can score a 35% discount.

We are 80 pages into the gamelit novel over on Patreon/Locals! This is my subscriber-only serial about the teen and mom trying an AI-evolved MMPORG together (hijinks ensue!). If you're not sure which subscription platform to pick, I'd recommend Locals: their new article system is far better, formatting-wise. Not into serials? Don't worry! This story will be available later at retail, though I can't commit to a date. 

Mailing for the Kickstarter should be wrapped up by month's end! After that, I'll have the extra cat stickers/magnets up on Etsy. Look for those in April! You can follow my shop to be notified, or just wait for the links in the next newsletter.
